STEPHEN BITTEROLF THE YOUNG ARTIST Stephen Bitterolf (Ashton Hawkins, head of the American Council on Cultural Policy, owns several of his pieces) is influenced by 16th-century German artist Albrecht Dürer, with an eye for the natural world. Mr. Bitterolf's first solo show, through Sept. 27 at Zieher/Smith Gallery in New York, has drawings of ladybugs. Each is accompanied by the corresponding bug cast in clear resin.
